Online applications are hereby invited from Indian Citizens as defined under Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India, for filling up of 72 (Seventy Two) number of posts of Field Assistant (Statistics)/ Enumerator under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Integrated Sample Survey (ISS)”, of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Assam, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-03. The source of funding for these posts are under 90:10 Sharing Pattern, wherein 90% of the expenditure towards the posts will be borne by the Government of India and the remaining 10% will be borne by the Government of Assam. The vacancies will be filled up against the existing vacancies in the respective categories of posts, as reflected in the Post-Based Roster Register, as indicated below.

Scale of Pay : Pay Band-2 of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 5,600/- plus other allowances as admissible from time to time.
Eligibility Criteria of Veterinary Filed Assistant Statistics Enumerator Recruitment
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have:A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with at least one paper in Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Social Science / Sociology / Psychology at graduate level
Or
A Bachelor's Degree in any subject with 50% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard.
Knowledge of English and Local Language: Candidates must have both English and any one of the Local Languages (Assamese, Bengali, Bodo) as subjects during HSLC.
Knowledge of Computer along with comfort in Keying data through handheld device: Candidates must qualify and upload Computer Course Certificate of minimum 6 (six) months duration from a Government recognized Institute.
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must have a valid Employment Exchange registration certificate in the State of Assam.
NOC for Govt. Employees: Candidates already in regular Government service, must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Competent Authority as and when asked.
Age Limit: 21-40 years as on 01 January 2026 Relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below:
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- ExM: 2 years
