Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Assam
Online applications are hereby invited from Indian Citizens as defined under Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India, for filling up of 72 (Seventy Two) number of posts of Field Assistant (Statistics)/ Enumerator under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Integrated Sample Survey (ISS)”, of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Assam, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-03. The source of funding for these posts are under 90:10 Sharing Pattern, wherein 90% of the expenditure towards the posts will be borne by the Government of India and the remaining 10% will be borne by the Government of Assam. The vacancies will be filled up against the existing vacancies in the respective categories of posts, as reflected in the Post-Based Roster Register, as indicated below.

Name of Post : Field Assistant (Statistics)/ Enumerator post under ISS of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Assam.
Number of Post : 72 (Seventy Two)
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-2 of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 5,600/- plus other allowances as admissible from time to time.
✓ A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with at least one paper in Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Social Science / Sociology / Psychology at graduate level
OR
✓ A Bachelor's Degree in any subject with 50% marks in Mathematics at Class 10/HSLC standard.
✓ Knowledge of English + any one local language (Assamese, Bengali or Bodo) up to HSLC level.
✓ Computer knowledge and comfort with data entry through handheld devices.
✓ A minimum 6-month Computer Course Certificate from a Government-recognized institute.
Age Limit: 21-40 years as on 01 January 2026 Relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
