DHS Assam Recruitment 2025
The Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Assam has published an official advertisement for the recruitment of 191 Grade-III (Non-Technical) posts. Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the vacancies of Health Educator, Junior Assistant/ Account Assistant LDA, and Basic Health Worker (BHW) in various health institutions.
Online applications are invited from the citizens of India as defined under Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for filling up of the following vacancies of different cadre of Grade-III (Non-Technical) posts i.e. (i) Health Educator (ii) Junior Assistant/Account Assistant cum LDA (iii) Basic Health Worker (BHW) against existing vacant posts in different health institutions in the State under the establishment of the Directorate of Health Services, Assam.
The online application form shall be available from 12.09.2025 to 21.09.2025 till midnight at official website of the Directorate of Health Services, Assam i.e. (www.dhs.assam.gov.in).

Organization: Directorate of Health Services, Assam
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a Graduate in any discipline from a Government recognized University. Additionally, the applicant must possess a minimum 6 (six) months diploma in Computer application.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age will be calculated as on 1 January 2025. The minimum age is 18 years for all categories. Click here to calculate your age.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise maximum age limit is as follows:
Unreserved (UR): 40 years
OBC / MOBC: 43 years
SC / ST: 45 years
PwBD: 50 years
Pay Scale:
Health Educator: Pay scale of ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 with a Grade Pay of ₹7,600.
Junior Assistant/ Account Assistant LDA: Pay scale of ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 with a Grade Pay of ₹6,200.
Basic Health Worker (BHW): Pay scale of ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 with a Grade Pay of ₹5,600.
Other Criteria of DHS Recruitment
Employment Exchange: Candidates must possess a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of the State of Assam.
Government Employee: Candidates who are already in Government Service must produce a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from their current employer at the time of document verification.
PwBD Category: A candidate must possess a Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) Certificate issued by the competent authority.
Caste Certificate: To claim reservation, candidates must possess a valid Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority.
Application Fee: No application fee is required to be paid by any candidate.
Selection Process: The selection process details will be notified in due course on the official website of DHS Assam. The department reserves the right to cancel candidature if any ineligibility conditions or discrepancies are detected at any stage of the recruitment process.
