DEE Assam Recruitment 2025
The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has published two official notifications inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Assam for the recruitment of Special Educators. A total of 228 vacancies are available in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools across the state.
Interested and eligible candidates who have qualified in the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) can apply online through the official DEE Assam portal

Educational Qualification:
For Special Educator (LP School):
a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
b) The candidate must have passed the ATET/CTET for LP Schools.
For Special Educator (UP School):
a) Graduate with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
b) The candidate must have passed the ATET/CTET for UP Schools.
Age Limit: (as on 1 August 2025)
The candidate must be a minimum of 18 years of age and not more than the maximum age limit mentioned below:
Unreserved: 40 years
Ex-Servicemen: 42 years
OBC/MOBC: 43 years
SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
Persons with Disability (PwD) :50 years
Other Criteria of DEE Recruitment
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam.
Small Family Norms: No person having more than two living children on or after 1 January 2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment. Candidates must submit a self-declaration at the time of application.
Language Proficiency: Either Language-I or Language-II of both ATET and CTET candidates must match the medium of instruction of the school where the candidate wishes to apply.
Application Fee: The application fee for this recruitment has not been mentioned in the official advertisement.
Selection Process: The selection of candidates will be based on a merit list prepared for each district and category. The district-wise and category-wise breakup of vacancies will be notified in due course.

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications online through the official website of the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam.
Following documents need to be submitted in colour along with online application form
a. Passport Size Photograph.
b. HSLC Admit Card.
c. HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
d. Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
e. B.Ed. in Special Education Mark sheet and Certificate (Recognized by RCI).
f. Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
g. Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.
h. Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
i. Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board
j. Working experience certificate (if any)
