Central Selection Board (CSB), Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Kokrajhar, Assam has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 157 Forester & Forest Guard Posts under Forest Department, BTC. Online applications are hereby invited from the intending eligible candidates who are resident of Bodoland Territorial Council area, Assam having registration in the Employment Exchange of the state of Assam for filling up of sanctioned vacant Forester-I and Forest Guard (Gr.III) posts under Forest Department, BTC in the Pay Band and Grade Pay as per ROP, 2017 alongwith other allowances as admissible. Candidates belonging to the newly added 60 (sixty) Nos. of villages from Biswanath and Sonitpur District to Udalguri District under BTC area vide Govt. Notification (i) No. E-233475/387, Dated 21st Sept., 2024 and (ii) No.E 233475/303, Dated 6th Nov., 2023 are also eligible to apply for the posts.
BTC Kokrajhar Recruitment 2026
1. Forester - I
No of posts: 47 Posts
Scale of pay: P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 and GP: ₹6,200
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution or equivalent.
2. Forest Guard
No of posts: 110 Posts
Scale of pay: P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 and GP: ₹5,600
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be minimum HS / 10+2 exam passed or equivalent.
Other Criteria of BTR Recruitment
Residence-ship: Candidates must be resident of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area. Candidates belonging to newly added 60 villages from Biswanath and Sonitpur districts under BTC’s Udalguri District under BTC area are also eligible to apply for above mentioned posts.
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must have registered their names in any employment exchange of Assam.
Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2026.
Age Relaxation: The Category-wise age relaxation for different categories are as mentioned below:
✓OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
✓ SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years
Medical Standards:
a) Candidates must not have squint eyes and should possess high colour vision.
b) The distant vision should be at least 6/6 for one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal for both these posts.
Physical Standard:
Here is the physical standards required for both Forester & Forest Guard Posts.
Height (General): Male: 163 cm, Female: 153 cm
Height [ST(P)]: Male: 153 cm, Female: 145 cm
Chest (Male)– Normal 79 cm
Chest (Male)– Expanded 84 cm
