Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development, Assam has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 1508 Vacancy on Contractual basis under the Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam.
PNRD Assam Recruitment 2026
1. Accredited Engineer
No of posts: 291 Posts, under MGNREGA
Monthly Remuneration: ₹18,000/-
Age Limit: 18 to 40 years
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering with Diploma in Computer Application. Candidates should be well versed in Mobile Applications.
2. Gram Rozgar Sahayak
No of posts: 464 Posts, under MGNREGA
Monthly Remuneration: ₹15,000/-
Age Limit: 18 to 40 years
Educational Qualification:
a) Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or institution with minimum 50% marks. Distance Education (Degree) approved by DEC/UGC/AICTE is valid.
b) Must possess Diploma in Computer Application with minimum 6 months duration.
c) Candidates should be well versed in Mobile Applications.
3. Computer Assistant
No of posts: 291 Posts, under MGNREGA
Monthly Remuneration: ₹15,000/-
Age Limit: 18 to 40 years
Educational Qualification:
a) Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or institution with minimum 50% marks. Distance Education (Degree) approved by DEC/UGC/AICTE is valid
b) Must possess Diploma in Computer Application with minimum 6 months duration.
c) Candidates should be well versed in Mobile Applications.
4. Gram Panchayat Coordinator
No of posts: 462 Posts, PMAY-G/ Finance Commission
Monthly Remuneration: ₹15,000/-
Age Limit: 18 to 40 years
Educational Qualification:
a) Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or institution with minimum 50% marks. Distance Education (Degree) approved by DEC/UGC/AICTE is valid
b) Must possess Diploma in Computer Application with minimum 6 months duration.
c) Candidates should be well versed in Mobile Applications.
Other Criteria of PNRD Recruitment
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD/ UR: 10 years
Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India as defined under Article 5 to 9 of the Constitution of India.
Application Fee: There is NO application fee for applying above mentioned contractual posts.
Selection Process:
The selection will be done through a written examination and viva (interview). Here is how the process works:
Written Examination (75 Marks): The test is OMR-based with 75 questions. Each question carries 1 mark. There is negative marking — 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer, and 0.5 marks for selecting more than one option on a 2-mark question. The exam duration is 2 hours.
The question paper will cover five sections: Domain Knowledge, Computer Proficiency, Logical Reasoning & Aptitude & Comprehension, History and Culture of Assam and India, and General Knowledge. For Accredited Engineer, additional questions on technical knowledge will be included.
Two Papers: Paper-I is for Gaon Panchayat Coordinator, Computer Assistant, and Gram Rozgar Sahayak. Paper-2 is for Accredited Engineer. Candidates who meet the eligibility for both papers can apply separately for each.
Viva (25 Marks): Candidates who qualify the written test will appear for a viva of 25 marks. Merit lists will be prepared category-wise for each post.
In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be placed higher. If two candidates share the same date of birth and marks, the one with higher educational qualifications gets preference.

3. Certificate of qualifying examination as per applicable case.
4. Recent Passport Size Photograph.
5. Scanned Copy of Signature of the Candidate.
6. Caste Certificate from competent authority if applying for such category.
7. The size of the above scanned document should be 300 KB.
