Assam Direct Recruitment 2023-24
The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has released two distinct notifications related to the recruitment of 12,600 Class-III and Class-IV posts in accordance with the Assam Direct Recruitment for Class-III and Class-IV Analogous Posts Rules 2022. The online application process for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023 will commence on 10th November 2023.
Assam Direct Recruitment Details
Name of Posts: Grade-III and Grade-IV
No of Posts: 12,600 Posts (Tentative)
- Grade-III: 7,600 Posts
- Grade-IV: 5,000 Posts.
Name of Recruitment: Assam Direct Recruitment (ADR)
Name of Commission: State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC)
Name of Board: Board of Secondary Education, Assam
Pay Scale: The pay band and grade pay of the post as per Assam Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2017 and as amended.
Correction Notice
This is for information of all those applicants who have applied for recruitment of Class-III & Class-IV categories of posts and who may have made inadvertent mistakes during filling up their online application form, that edit option will be provided from 11 am of 5th January 2024 to 18th January 2024.
ADRE Correction Process:
The candidates who desire to edit their application may Login with Application Number & password and follow the steps as described below –
• Click on Edit Profile Menu.
• An OTP will be sent to candidate’s registered mobile number and OTP Page will be displayed.
• Enter OTP and verify.
• Application Form, will be displayed in edit mode.
➠ To edit Candidate’s Name & Employment Registration id, instead of direct edit option, there will be an option:
❖ Do You want to Change?
❖ If clicked ‘Yes’ then a text box will be displayed where candidate can enter their correct Name or Employment Registration id respectively.
❖ This new value will be saved as ‘Request Change’ but old values of Name & Registration id will be kept as it is.
• There will not be any option to change Candidate Registered Mobile No., Photograph and Signature.
• All other information can be edited including information related for consideration under Assam Public Service (Preferential Appointment) Rules, 1999.
• After completion of Edit, candidate need to Click on ‘Update’ Button. A page will be displayed where the candidate can take print out of Application Form and Lock the Profile.
• After Locking Profile candidate cannot make any changes in Application form.
NOTE:- Candidates who do not want to change any information are not required to do anything.

Required Educational Qualification
The required educational qualifications are different for different types of posts. Candidates will be able to submit their application for the type of posts where they are eligible.
Grade-IV or Class-IV:
- Class-VIII: 1950
- HSLC: 1060
- HSLC (With ITI): 1990
Total: 5000
Minimum Qualification:
1. HSLC (Class Ten) or equivalent examination passed.
or
2. HSLC (Class Ten) or equivalent examination passed along with ITI pass certificate in the trade of wireman/electrician/fitter/welder/ machinist/Electronics Mechanic from Govt. of Assam approved Institute.
or
3. Read up to Class-VIII
Maximum Qualification: The maximum allowed educational qualification for Class-IV posts is HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examination passed. Candidates having qualifications higher than maximum qualification are not eligible to apply for these vacancies.
Grade-III (Category-I):
Name of Posts: Accountant, Cashier, Junior Assistant, LDA, Stenographer, etc.
No of Posts: 4,055 Posts
Educational Qualifications:
1.Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree. (As applicable)
or
2. Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/ Diploma of minimum 6 months duration. (As applicable)
or
3. Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6(six) months duration and Stenography Certificate from recognized Institute. (As applicable)
or
4. Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6(six) months duration from a recognized Institute. (As applicable)
Grade-III (Category-II):
Name of Posts: Field Assistant, Fieldman, Foreman, Section Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Worker Junior, Agriculture Extension Officer, etc.(Expected)
No of Posts: 3,127 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent can apply online for these posts. (For some posts, candidates should be class 12th passed from the science stream.)
Grade-III (Category-III):
Name of Post: Driver
No of Posts: 418 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent can apply online for these posts.
Other Eligibility Criteria of ADRE
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have a valid employment exchange registration number of Assam to be eligible for this recruitment.
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
Working Candidate: Those candidates who are already in Government service should produce NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the respective HoDs (Heads of Departments) at the time of the Skill test/ Document Verification.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2023.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise upper age relaxation will be as follows.
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 Yeas
- Ex-Servicemen: 2 Years
- PwD:10 Years
Application Fee: Free for all categories of candidates.

The candidates who will be eligible as per the official notification of Assam Direct Recruitment will be able to submit their online applications through the official application portal www.sebaonline.org.
