State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 2450 Constable (AB) and 320 Sub Inspector vacancy for newly created Assam Commando Battalions. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for these vacancy.
Assam Police Commando Battalion Recruitment 2022
1. Constable (AB)
No of Posts: 2450 posts
Category-wise vacancy:
Constable (AB) Male & Transgender: 2220 posts
Constable (AB) Female: 180 posts
Constable (AB) Nursing: 50 posts
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000-60,500/-with Grade Pay of Rs.5,600/- and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 21 years as on 01-01-2021 (i.e. the candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2003 and on or after 01.01.2000).
Educational Qualification:
✓ HSLC or Equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
✓ In addition for the posts of Constable (Nursing), Nursing Diploma is necessary.
2. Sub Inspector (AB)
No of posts: 320 posts
Category-wise vacancy:
Male & Transgender: 314 posts
Female: 06 posts
✓ There will be 5% reservation of for sports persons from the total vacancies mentioned above.
Sports person who have represented India/National team of the state of Assam at the National Level in the disciplines recognized by International Olympic Committee & Indian Olympic Association shall be eligible for vacancies earmarkedfor sports person. The post against this category will be filled up at State level.
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000-60,500/-with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age Limit: Candidate should not be more than 24 years and less than 20 years of age as on 01-01-2021 (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2001 and on or after 01-01-1997).
Educational Qualification:
The candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institution affiliated to a recognized University.

Other Criteria of Assam Police Commando Battalion Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise upper age limit relaxation is as mentioned below
SC/ST(H)/ST(P): 5 (five) years
OBC/ MOBC: 3 (three) years
National and International sports person: 3 (three) years.
All the candidates who applied for the Assam Police SI vacancy will have to appear in a Combined Written Test to be held on 24-04-2022 from 10 AM to 12 noon in the selected districts.The candidates have to submit their detail particulars in order to issue Admit card for appearing in the Written Test, through SLPRB website (www.slprbassam.in) by logging in to the online portal from 11 AM of 17-03-2022 to 5 PM of 30-03-2022.
