For Grade III
1. Assistant Technician (Electrical & Cathodic)
No of posts: 18 [UR: 9, SC: 2, ST: 2, OBC: 4, EWS: 1]
Pay: Pay Scale ₹ 26,600.00 to 90,000.00
Educational Qualification:
- Class 10 passed from Govt recognized Board
- Candidate must be trade certificate holder in the trade of Electrician from Govt. Recognized ITI / Institute with 2 (two) years duration
- Must possess valid electrical workman permit issued by Electrical Licensing Board, Govt of Assam.
2. Assistant Technician (Telecommunication)
No of posts: 02 [UR: 1, SC: 1]
Pay: Pay Scale ₹ 26,600.00 to 90,000.00
Educational Qualification:
- Class 10 passed from Govt recognized Board
- ITI in Electronics/ Communication/ Instrumentation Trade from Govt Recognized Institute
3. Assistant Technician (Fitting)
No of posts: 14 [UR: 8, SC: 1, ST: 1, OBC: 3, EWS: 1]
Pay: Pay Scale ₹ 26,600.00 – 90,000.00
Educational Qualification:
- Class 10 passed from Govt recognized Board.
- ITI in Fittings from Govt Recognized Institute.
For Grade VII
4. Junior Engineer (Electrical & Cathodic)
No of posts: 12 [SC: 1, ST: 1, OBC: 3, EWS: 1]
Pay: Pay Scale ₹ 32,000- 1,27,000
Educational Qualification:
- Class 10 passed from Govt recognized Board
- Passed 03 years Electrical Engineering Diploma Course
- Must possess six months certificate / diploma in Computer Application
- Must possess all the following valid electrical Supervisory Certificate of Competency issued by Electrical Licensing Board, Govt of Assam
i) Part -1: Elementary Principles
ii) Part 2: Wiring for systems not exceeding 250 Volts
iii) Part 3: DC apparatus not exceeding 650 Volts
iv) Part 4: AC apparatus not exceeding 650 Volts
v) Part – 5 : Underground Cable –
vi) Voltages Upto 1100 Volts
vii) Voltages up to 11, 900 Volts
viii) Part – 7 : Overhead lines - (a) Upto 650 Volts
5. Junior Engineer (Telecommunication)
No of posts: 04 [UR: 2, OBC: 2]
Pay: Pay Scale ₹ 32,000- 1,27,000
Educational Qualification:
- Class 10 passed from Govt recognized Board.
- Passed 03 years Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Govt Recognized Institute.
6. Junior Engineer (Civil)

Pay: Pay Scale ₹ 32,000- 1,27,000
Educational Qualification:
- Class 10 passed from Govt recognized Board
- Passed 03 years Civil Engineering Diploma Course
- Must possess minimum 6 months diploma/ certificate in Computer application
7. Junior Engineer (Operations)
No of posts: 06 [UR: 6, ST: 1, OBC: 2, EWS: 1]
Pay: Pay Scale ₹ 32,000- 1,27,000
Educational Qualification:
- Class 10 passed from Govt recognized Board.
- Passed 03 years Mechanical Engineering Diploma Course in relevant Discipline
- Must possess minimum 6 months diploma/ certificate in Computer application
