1. Agril. Extension Asst. (AEA)
No. of Posts: 1581 nos.
- Unreserved: 876 Posts
- OBC/MOBC: 496 Posts

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary from a government recognized board or council.
Preference: Preference will be given to those candidates who have passed in Science stream and hold Rural Back Ground Certificate.

2. Junior Assistant (HQ)
No. of Posts: 200 nos.

3. Stenographer
No. of Posts: 08 nos.
Educational Qualification: Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University. Also, the candidate is required to have a Grade-I Stenography Diploma with minimum speed of 80 words per minutes (English) and a minimum 6 months Diploma in Computer.
Pay Structure: PB, Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.8700/- per month
4. Steno-Typist
No. of Posts: 05 nos. [English: 4 & Assamese: 1]
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary from a government recognized board or council. Also, the candidate is required to have a Stenography Diploma with minimum speed of 80 words per minutes and a minimum 6 months Diploma in Computer.
Pay Structure: PB, Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.6200/- per month.
5. Electrician
No. of Posts: 04 nos.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed HSLC or Matriculation from Government recognized Board or Council. Also, the candidate is required to have a 2 years Diploma in Electrical from Government ITI.
Pay Structure: PB, Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.6200/- per month
6. PI/FI/FS/Computer
No. of Posts: 24 nos.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary from Government recognized Board or Council with Statistics, Economics or Mathematics as one of the subject.
Pay Structure: PB, Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.6200/- per month
7. Mechanic (Jute)
No. of Posts: 06 nos.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed HSLC or Matriculation from Government recognized Board or Council. Also, the candidate is required to have a 2 years Diploma in Mechanical from Government ITI.
Pay Structure: PB, Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.5600/- per month
8. Grade-IV
No. of Posts: 09 nos.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed 8th class from a recognized institute or school.
Pay Structure: PB, Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.3900/- per month
Other Criteria of Agriculture Department Assam Recruitment:
Age Limit: The candidates age should be between 18 years to 40 years as on 1st January 2021.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Application Fee: There will be no application fees.
Nationality: Candidate must be citizens of India as defined in the Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration Certificate: The candidate has to produce the registration certificate of Employment Exchange in the state of Assam along with the application form.
