CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025

The Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam has launched the “Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme”. This initiative aims to provide financial support to fresh graduates of Assam to aid them in their job search, prepare for competitive examinations, and pursue self-employment. Under this scheme, eligible graduates who have passed in the year 2025 will receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500 for a duration of 12 months.

Scheme Objectives

The primary objectives of the scheme are:

  • To support fresh graduates during their job search.
  • To encourage fresh graduates to prepare for competitive examinations.
  • To empower fresh graduates to pursue self-employment opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria for Jibon Prerana Scheme

Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.

Educational Qualification: The applicant must be a fresh graduate (2025 pass-out only) from a Government/ Public institution of the state or central government, situated in Assam. Students from open universities and private institutions are not eligible.

Employment Status: The applicant should not be already employed.

Further Studies: The applicant should not have taken admission in any Professional or Vocational courses.

Exclusions based on other schemes: The applicant should not be a beneficiary of the Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme.

Parental Status Exclusions:

Any of the applicant’s parents should not be employed in Public Offices (MLA, MPs or Ministers).
The applicant’s parents should not be registered as a contractor.
The applicant should not belong to a family of professionals with an income of more than ₹10 lakh per year.
Any of the applicant’s parents should not be employed as a public office holder, government employee, or pensioner (except for Grade IV employees).

How to Apply for Jibon Prerana Scheme?

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme by visiting the official web portal of the Assam Government, known as the Digital Infrastructure for DBT Scheme (DIDS). Applicants need to register on the portal and log in to access the application form.

After logging in, applicants must carefully fill in all required personal details, educational qualifications, and bank account information. It is essential to provide accurate details of the graduating institution. After filling out all the necessary fields, applicants must agree to a self-declaration and submit the form.
